Hi all. We're Jack & Josh and we've been building this game seriously for a few months now. This is our first time making a game, and we have been learning as we go. We're building in Unreal Engine with Blueprints.


So far we have blueprint-based systems built for:

- Dialogue

- Quests

- Inventory

- Stats

- Simple Turn-Based Combat

- Dungeon Design


This first build is our first steps toward getting a simple prototype built. That makes this a prototype of a prototype. This was basically us trying to use the systems we built to build a quest that the player can complete.


Our first goal is to complete this Suburb area - fill it out with quests, collectibles, items, etc. Our second major goal is to design the Grocery Store, which will be somewhere between the Persona dungeons and Zelda dungeons.


Long-term, we want to design a funny, quirky game with a lighthearted Earthbound-esque tone, with the design that we're more used to in modern RPGs.


We would love any and all feedback! We're planning to make weekly updates with builds here on this devlog.
